<article class=\"lumira-about-story\">\n                            <p>From a young age, I felt deeply connected to my intuition. I did not always understand it, but somehow it often guided me in the right direction.<\/p>\n<p>As I grew older, that connection slowly faded. During my teenage years, I stopped listening to my inner voice and became determined to discover life in my own way. I was independent, impulsive and rarely concerned with what others thought. Even when I sensed that something was not right for me, I often continued anyway.<\/p>\n<p>Looking back, I would not change those experiences. Every choice, every challenge and every lesson shaped me into the woman I am today.<\/p>\n<p>At the age of 22, I moved to Spain on my own, convinced that I could build a new life by myself. After a year, I returned to the Netherlands and moved back in with my parents. Instead of slowing down and processing everything I had been through, I pushed my feelings aside and simply kept moving forward.<\/p>\n<p>Not long afterwards, I met my partner and soon became pregnant with our first son. Becoming a mother changed me in ways I never expected. I became calmer, more present and more grounded. Caring for the people I love helped me rediscover what it means to live with peace, purpose and intention.<\/p>\n<p>A few years later, I built a career in banking. From the outside, life looked secure, but inside I felt that something was missing. I longed for more freedom, deeper meaning and work that truly came from my heart.<\/p>\n<p>After becoming a mother for the second time, I realised how important it was to care for myself as deeply as I cared for my family. My body was asking me to slow down. Living with ulcerative colitis showed me how closely the body, emotions and energy can be connected.<\/p>\n<p>It became an important turning point in my life. I knew I wanted to make different choices for myself, for my wellbeing and for the future I wanted to create for my family.<\/p>\n<p>For the first time in years, I truly began listening to myself again.<\/p>\n<p>That became the beginning of my healing journey.<\/p>\n<p>I explored Reiki, shamanism, sound healing and energy work. Then I experienced Kundalini Activation, and something shifted within me. It was not simply something I learned; it was something I deeply felt. It reminded me of the connection I had known as a child and helped me reconnect with my body, my emotions and my own inner wisdom.<\/p>\n<p>Over time, I completed Reiki Levels 1 and 2 and continued my development through Kundalini Activation, NRGY and COSMIC training.<\/p>\n<p>Later, my family and I made the decision to move to Spain. This time, it was not about running away or proving that I could do everything alone. It was a conscious choice to create a life that felt more peaceful, aligned and true to who I had become.<\/p>\n<p>That is how Lumira Awakenings was born.<\/p>\n<p>Today, I create intimate and heart-led spaces where people can slow down, release what they have been carrying and reconnect with themselves.<\/p>\n<p>I know what it feels like to lose touch with yourself. To keep going while ignoring your own needs.
